Rent the Sound Devices MixPre-6 II when you need more channels than the MixPre 3. The MixPre-6 adds 1 more XLR channel and preamp as well as 2 more channels via 3.5mm. Quality is top notch! But hey, IMPORTANT!!! Unless you plan on running this off AC power, you should get the F970 battery option as it only runs off basic AA batteries for 15-25 minutes! Just add in the comments that you’d like the NP F970 battery dock kit.
* 6x total channels
* 4x XLR inputs with 4x high gain, low noise preamps
* 2x inputs via 3.5mm
* 142 dB of dynamic range!
* Records to SD card (included)
* Takes AA batteries – note, run time off basic AA batteries is 15-25 minutes.
* Add a Sony F970 battery and battery dock for $15 more.
