Finally Sigma has made a contender to take down the legendary Canon 70-200mm L f2.8 IS lens! If you aren’t familiar with the Sigma Sport series, it is basically the ART series of long telephoto lenses. Why didn’t they just name all their high end lenses ART? We have no idea, but the Sport series carries the same amazing quality as their Art lenses do! And this 70-200mm F2.8 lens with image stabilization (IS – but Sigma calls it OS) is absolutely in the same class as the Canon 70-200 L series. Is it better? So far it looks like… yes. But that’s blasphemy to some people, so we’ll just let you decide! You will not go wrong with this lens though, that we are sure of!
They do not make it in Sigma E mount (no idea why) but we can include a Sigma MC11 adapter if you want to run it on a Sony. It should give you lighting fast autofocus.
