Canon 100-400mm L IS mkII$50.00 Per Day *
The Canon 100-400mm L IS mkII is an update to one of our favourite telephoto lenses of all time. Image quality is of course still superb as was the mkI, but the trombone style zoom has been replaced by a more traditional twist zoom. This may be good or bad depending on what your shooting of course, some people hated the trombone zoom, some people (including me) loved it. Rent the Canon 100-400mm L IS mkII or mkI and you’ll get a great shot either way.
Sigma SPORT 70-200mm F2.8 OS EF$40.00 Per Day *
Finally Sigma has made a contender to take down the legendary Canon 70-200mm L f2.8 IS lens! If you aren’t familiar with the Sigma Sport series, it is basically the ART series of long telephoto lenses. Why didn’t they just name all their high end lenses ART? We have no idea, but the Sport series carries the same amazing quality as their Art lenses do! And this 70-200mm F2.8 lens with image stabilization (IS – but Sigma calls it OS) is absolutely in the same class as the Canon 70-200 L series. Is it better? So far it looks like… yes. But that’s blasphemy to some people, so we’ll just let you decide! You will not go wrong with this lens though, that we are sure of!
They do not make it in Sigma E mount (no idea why) but we will include a Sigma MC11 adapter if you want to run it on a Sony. It should give you lighting fast autofocus.
Canon 7-63mm T2.6 Cine Super16 PL$125.00 Per Day *
Rent this super16 zoom lens for any PL mount camera with a Super16 sensor (or smaller!) The Canon 7-63mm is one of the widest zoom lenses ever made in a PL mount for Super16 cameras. With it, you should be able to skip renting a wide angle prime as you would with a standard 10-120mm ranged lens. Not to mention Canon cine lenses are excellent across the board.
Sigma ART 14-24mm f2.8 EF$40.00 Per Day *
Oh man, another amazing ultra wide Art series lens from Sigma! The 14-24mm f2.8 is the fastest full frame ultra wide… at least at the time I’m writing this! We have it in EF mount but it can be adapted to Sony E mount or MFT mount with a standard electronic adapter or a Speed Booster.
Sigma ART 50-100mm f1.8 EF$35.00 Per Day *
The fastest telephoto zoom around? Probably! Rent the Sigma ART 50-100mm f1.8 when you need max low light performance on a long lens. Pair this with the 18-35 and you’ll have zero excuses for getting the shot you want… unless you’re trying to mount them to a Polaroid camera. Then you’ll have a pretty good excuse!
Sigma ART 24-35mm f2 EF$40.00 Per Day *
Continuing the unrivaled quality of the rest of the ART series, Sigma has turned in a full frame knockout in the fast wide zoom range. There simply is nothing (literally) that rivals it in a 24-35mm f2.0 full frame range. So you want fast, wide and full frame with a bit of zoom? This is it!
Sigma ART 18-35mm f1.8 EF$35.00 Per Day *
The Sigma 18-35mm was basically a game changer… the only DSLR zoom lens to shoot at anything faster than f2.8, it cracked open a new era of ultra fast zooms (for which we are patiently waiting for Canon and Nikon to catch up to). Not only that, it destroyed all lens awards for the year it was released, basically dominating all competition.
How can you not love that? We do.
Canon 16-35mm L f2.8 mkII$40.00 Per Day *
The 16-35mm L f2.8 mkII is an evolution of the 17-35mm L lens series. What can we say, these are all great lenses for your 1D 5D or 6D series cameras. They adapt nicely to Sony full frame cameras like the A7s and A7r series as well. You really can’t go wrong.
Canon 70-200mm L IS f2.8$40.00 Per Day *
The most popular lens to rent for weddings and sports events… if you need to rent a Canon 70-200mm L IS f2.8 during a weekend in the summer, you better book early, as they are easily the most popular of the telephotos and probably a tie for the most popular lens we rent overall. We probably can’t tell you anything about this one that you don’t know already. Rent it, it’s goooooood.
Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 IS$30.00 Per Day *
There is no doubt that the Canon 70-200 L IS 2.8 is the most popular telephoto lens we rent… but that doesn’t mean the Sigma isn’t a decent backup. It offers all the same features for 25% less money so if you’re on a budget, it’s worth the look. The autofocus isn’t quite as fast as Canon but otherwise it’ll put out a nice image! However if you are looking at Sigma, you might want the Sport version of this lens, which is like their ART lenses (ie top quality) but for longer telephotos. Confusing, right? We know.
Canon 24-105mm L IS F4$35.00 Per Day *
This might now be the most popular all purpose lens we rent for Canon cameras. 24-105mm is a great wide to medium telephoto lens range, it has image stabilization and it’s reasonably sharp throughout. It is a stop slower at F4 than the 24-70L however the enhanced low light abilities of the current crop of cameras have done a good job of negating that disadvantage.
Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 IS$30.00 Per Day *
If you need a good all purpose lens for your Canon EF-S mount camera (APS-C sensor), this Tamron does it all. The 17-50mm is a nice range, about 26-75mm equivalent, is f2.8 throughout the zoom range, and has image stabilization built in. You can’t go wrong if you’re shooting on a Canon 7D or Rebel type camera. Also works great for the C100 and C300.
Sigma 150-600mm OIS$50.00 Per Day *
We’re gonna need a bigger lens!!! Don’t get bitten by having too short a lens on your next whale watching trip… This monster wildlife lens is also great for bears, eagles and also sports like snowboarding, skiing, hockey, soccer, etc… This is the monster zoom lens to rent! Note that this is the Contemporary version.
