Rent the Canon R8 when you need a simple but powerful mirrorless camera in Canon’s current generation RF mount. This is a smaller, lighter cost effective body suitable to entry or mid-level work, or for pro level work as a B camera or backup camera. Note that it doesn’t come with a lens. If you don’t know what you need, we suggest the kit lens, which is a 24-50mm IS F4.5-6.3 zoom lens for $20. Or the Canon 50mm f1.8 prime lens for $15 if you’re doing portrait photography. Those are the simple and cheap options, but we have many more.
